Hyatt Culinarian - Garde Manger / Butcher in DALLAS, Texas

All culinary positions require good communication. This particular position is an introduction to a high volume banquet operation. Ideal candidate will have previous cold kitchen experience. High volume production is a specialized skill. Candidates should have a culinary degree or related cold kitchen experience. Ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of Garde Manger Kitchen procedures including preparation of basic dressings, familiarity with different cheeses, dried & cured meats, lettuces & greens, grains, fruits, vegetables, & herbs with a acute attention to detail and creative vision. Basic food handling awareness is expected. Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen equipment is ideal: blast chiller, Rational oven, steamer, immersion blender, robot coupe, buffalo chopper, salad spinner, etc.

* Communication skills. * 2 years of previous culinary experience preferred.

  • Culinary degree or similar experience is ideal.

  • Candidates must be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.

  • Able to work multi-task and work as part of a team.

  • Ability to learn quickly & produce consistent dishes.

  • Ability to take direction from the Chefs & other Culinarians as directed

  • Must be passionate & excited about food with a desire to develop into future culinary positions

  • Requires flexibility to rotate through multiple areas in the kitchen, such as restaurant line, banquets, pastry, butcher, saucier, etc.
