Description:
• Ensures quality check are carried out for all garments and report any damages or discrepancy to Laundry Supervisor or Laundry Manager • Prioritizes and mark garment for dry-cleaning and laundering • Completes all orders as requested and prepares orders for delivery • Aids in effective communication within Laundry/Valet department • Generates billing for guest laundering and dry cleaning service • Aids in sorting laundry and record count in uniform daily forms • Performs other related duties as required • Ensures all garments being pressed are in proper condition, else inform the supervisor, for suitable action to be taken • Ensures broken zippers, missing buttons are replaced • Ensures mending is done if necessary • Attends all staff training meetings as when directed by the superiors • Reports health or safety hazards to the Laundry Manager • Works as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service • May assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Basic reading, writing in English; good communication skills • Should know how to use steam and hot press machine, washing machine, dryer • Daily rotation of duties consists of operation of washers, dryers, towel folder, preparation of linen cages, delivering of linens to the floors • Aids in effective communication within Laundry (Valet / Washer Man / Pressman / Dry cleaner • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and ability to push/pull medium to large weights/objects • Continuous standing up and exposed to heat • Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling • Able to work alone as well as being a team member • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
