Hyatt Assistant Director of Sales & Events in GREENWICH, Connecticut

The Associate Director of Sales and Events is an experienced senior level hotel sales and events role that reports directly to the Director of Sales and Events. This position is the second in command in the Sales and Events department. The position will be provided the training and development necessary to become a future Director of Sales and Events for Hyatt. The ADOSE responsibilities include but are not limited to the supervisory duties over the group sales, events sales, Business Travel and event planning staff, mentoring and training the Sales and Events Coordinators, leading meetings, involvement with the annual business plan process, monthly group and banquet forecasting, owners meetings, systems training, report analysis, P&L management,customer entertainment, servicing internal hotelevents, community involvement and networking. This position includes managing an Event Sales market with quota. Ideal candidate is a current Senior level Group Sales Manager who has the desire to learn the Event Sales function to broaden their selling and leadership skills. Prior Business Travel sales experience is a plus.

* 5 years in Hotel Group Sales and/or BTSM as Manager or higher * Current Associate Director of Sales or Senior Group Sales Manager * A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment * Ability to mentor and manage a team with all different levels of experience * Refined verbal and written communication skills * Experience in / desire to learn budgeting and forecasting group and banquet revenue * Must be proficient in general computer knowledge * Must be proficient in Event Selling and Event Detailing systems
