Hyatt Assistant Manager - Housekeeping in HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam
You will be responsible to assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
- The Assistant Manager - Housekeeping is responsible to assist the Housekeeping Manager in managing the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department, including the training and supervision of attendants and team leaders.
Assists the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the Housekeeping department, ensuring that all the policies and procedures are strictly adhered to and to maximise employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.
Assists to ensure that Housekeeping operates with the lowest possible cost structure while also delivering on the brand promise to the guest, proactively managing costs based on key performance indicators.
Ensures all relevant hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
Conducts inventory of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, printing and stationary for the rooms, linen, etc and report to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager.
Informs the Assistant Housekeeping Manager to requisite for supplies as required for Housekeeping.
Carries out inventory-taking of supplies and operating equipment as required by the Finance Department.
Ensures the hotel flower arrangements are setup as per standards and maintenance is properly carried out by the florist.
Reports any pest-control issues to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager.
Conducts regular inspections of rooms, ensuring standards of cleanliness is maintained at all times.
Ensures the proper handling and control of lost and found items.
Conducts frequent and thorough inspections of guest rooms and Rooms areas in general.
Ensures all daily arrival V.I.P. rooms, special request rooms, and long stay guest rooms are prepared with the appropriate welcome and other amenities.
Works closely with the Front Office and Engineering Departments to block rooms as necessary for maintenance.
Coordinates closely with F&B to ensure that the Mini Bar system and Fruit Set-up for guest room is properly maintained and all Housekeeping Attendants follow closely with the Policy & Procedures of updating consumption and replenishment.
Works closely with the Laundry to ensure that hotel linen are processed according to Park Hyatt Saigon’s standards.
Works closely with other management personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
Ensures Butlers, Team Leader and Housekeeping Attendants work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.
Works closely with other team members to ensure that the department meet the target score for Consumer Audit.
Responds to the results of the Consumer Audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.
Qualifications:Ideally the candidate should have a degree or diploma in hospitality management Minimum 2 years work experience as Assistant Manager - or 4 year of Team Leader - Housekeeping. Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills Good management skills. Good English capacity This position is applicable for Vietnamese only.
