Park Hyatt Saigon is a French mansion near the Opera House, a /sanctuary of peace/ in the middle of one of Asia’s most bustling cities.

Park Hyatt Saigon was renovated in 2015. As this luxury-defining project continued, Park Hyatt Saigon renovated its ballroom in 2016 and just finished restaurants and bars renovation in 2017. We just have the luxury definition for Park Lounge and Lobby in 2019 completed as well.

As theBar Manager for 2 Lam Son baryou are responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.

TheBar Manageris responsible for managing the assigned outlet as a successful independent profit centre,in line with the outlet’s operating concept and Hyatt International standards, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the outlet.

*Administration *

  • Assists to ensure that the Food and Beverage activities are aligned with the respective Corporate Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.

  • Conducts regular departmental communication meetings and briefings ensuring that they are effectively scheduled and managed.

  • Ensures the smooth operation of the Food and Beverage Division in the absence of the Director of Food & Beverage and/or the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.

  • Ensures all menus are well prepared and presentable.

  • Reviews the beverage lists in particular: the wine sections on a quarterly basis to keep the offerings interesting and diverse.

  • Champions the Hysat Guest Satisfaction Survey by achieving the minimum results set by Hyatt International for all Park brands and updating all related departments on a daily basis. Set Action plans and implement accordingly and ensure the results are communicated regularly (to) by the department heads.

  • Take full ownership of the Hotel IQ results and follow through with the set action plans. To ensure all standards are met in line with Hyatt Internationals set levels. Conduct internal mystery audits to maintain a consistent level of standards.

  • Supports the Training function by developing and guiding Department Trainers, maintaining the quality of School of Hospitality materials and encouraging learning among the Food & Beverage employees.

  • Understand the basic functions of Hyatt Leadership Network and encourages the use of the system among the Food & Beverage employees.

Customer Service * Ensures that all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times. * Ensures that employees provide excellent service to internal customers at all departments of the hotel as appropriate.

  • Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily and in a timely manner

  • Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

  • Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.

  • Personally and frequently verifies that guests in the Outlet are receiving the best possible service.


  • Maximises employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of all guests.

  • Assists in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan for Food and Beverage.

  • Assists in the monthly reforecast using Hyperion
  • Manage cost proactively based on key performance indicators, works with the respective Managers as appropriate.
  • Ensures that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing are adhered to.
  • Assists in the inventory management and ongoing maintenance of hotel operating equipment and other assets. Marketing
  • Assists in the preparation, utilisation and update of the Annual Marketing Plan, broken down as necessary by department.
  • Evaluates local, national and international market trends, vendors and other hotel/restaurant operations constantly to make sure that the hotel’s operations remain competitive and cutting edge.

  • Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate.

  • Monitors all operations, especially during peak business periods, working through the respective Assistant Managers to make adjustments where necessary.

  • Check guest satisfaction on a daily basis and ensure all reasonable guest comments are addressed in a timely manner and in line with Hyatt International standards.

  • Ensures that all Touches of Hyatt, Food and Beverage Top 20 and Hyatt strategies are well communicated and implemented.

  • Ensures that Outlet respond to the results of the Hotel LRA and to ensure that the relevant changes are implemented.

  • Works closely with other Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.

  • Ensures that Food and Beverage employees work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.

  • Ensures that all employees are up to date with the availability of seasonal and new products on the market.

  • Ensures that all employees are up to date with all promotions executed in Park Hyatt Saigon.

  • Tastes and monitors the food and beverage products served throughout the operation, provides feedback where appropriate.

  • Duty schedules will be flexible but not limited to business levels and requirements, in house events and proper coverage of a senior F&B manager has to be guaranteed at all times.

  • Checking and ensure all back of house area is well arranged and all equipment is in good order (including all stores) *Personnel *

  • Assists in the recruitment and selection of all Food and Beverage employees.

  • Oversees the punctuality and appearance of all Food and Beverage employees, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.

  • Maximises the effectiveness of Managers by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.

  • Conducts annual Performance Development Discussions with outlet associates and to support them in their professional development goals. Ensures that they in turn conduct annual Performance Development Discussions with their employees.

  • Assists in the development of Departmental Trainers through ongoing feedback and monthly meetings.

  • Prepare and post weekly work schedules in outlet, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators.

  • Encourages employees to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognising them for their contribution to the success of the operation.

  • Supports the implementation of The People Philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.

  • Ensures that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to employee rules and regulations.

  • Ensures that employees follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.

  • Feedbacks the results of the Gallup Survey and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented Benefit:
