Hyatt Sales Manager in JAKARTA, Indonesia

Main Duties and Responsibilities: * To assist in the implementation of the annual hotel’s Sales Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) * To achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, and contribute to Food and Beverage, and all other revenue department. * To ensure that the Sales activities are aligned with the Corporate Sales and Marketing Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate. * To represent the Sales function on different meetings in the absence of the Director of Sales. * To ensure sales files and systems to have correct booking procedures, including group room and meeting programme history, sales call activities, contractual agreements, room block analysis, credit and payment document, etc. * Proactively contact contracted agency, local DMC, overseas WHLA to follow up on their production, renew contract if necessary, launch special offer to dynamic selling strategy. * Assist guests to any specific request. * Share positive and constructive feedback as necessary to respective Department Head * Conduct hotel site visit, following the PH hotel site visit form and procedures. * To handle all guest and internal customer and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily. Keeping the respective Department Head aware. * To assist in preparation of the Annual Sales Plan in close cooperation with the Director of Sales and Marketing, including all sales metrics such as ADR, RGI and any others which will be part of the hotel’s business plan. * To prepare and conduct the weekly / monthly sales reporting and reforecasting. * To suggest, anticipate and recommend sales strategy facing some low period or unexpected slow pick up of activities. * To monitor and evaluate local, national and international market trends, and the competitor hotel’s sales initiatives, in order to make sure that the hotel’s marketing and sales remain competitive and cutting edge. * To conduct all selling activities and to communicate these activities throughout the hotel * To create and maintain a database of local, national and international group, catering and conference leads and ensure implementation of appropriate sales development and acquisition activities. * To make sure that all the sales proposals, collateral, digital tools and other sales communications are in line with the hotel’s and HI’s Brand standards and up to date in terms of information. * To be aware of community, business, political and social factors that may affect the hotel’s financial performance. * To follow the established hotel policies and procedures when signing contracts on behalf of the Sales Department. * To actively participate in sales meetings, developing and adjusting sales account and pricing strategy. * To ensure that the best use is made of technology including Envision or other sales and catering systems and that data is clean. * To assist in creating a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact and written communication. * To work closely with other management personnel in supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of the hotel guests. * To make sure that the other Sales associates work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams” * To support the advertising and sales campaigns. * To wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards. * To maximize associate productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests. * To support the implementation of changes as a result of the Associate Engagement Survey.
