Hyatt Event Sales Manager in KEY WEST, Florida

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing events, specifically local events and weddings. Sales efforts are in group rooms blocks as well as banquet food and beverage and includes menu planning, agenda setting and hotel meeting services. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.
The Event Sales Manager also hosts hotel tours, food and beverage tastings, maintains strong customer relationships, participates and may lead event meetings and other staff meetings, and works as a team member with the sales and events staff. The Manager also works closely with an Administrative Assistant and other support staff. This position reports to the hotel Area Director of Sales, Marketing and Events. The Manager has a sales quota and participates in a Sales Incentive Plan.
Duties include: * Administering the sales agreement, detailing all food, beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review. * Event Sales Managers are the on-site contacts and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events. * Contract review and facilitating communication before, during, and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service. * The Event Sales Manager will promote an atmosphere that insures customer and colleague satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, and team members.
