About the role

Park Hyatt Kyoto is currently seeking a Front Office Assistant Manager who will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.The Front Office Manager is responsible for all duties of the front desk operation including, staff training, inter-department communications, and staff scheduling. The Front Office Manager should possess strong communication skills and offer exceptional leadership. In addition to leading Front Office and Guest Services operations, the selected candidate will respond quickly to guest requests and/or complaints in a friendly manner and ensure that appropriate action is taken to guarantee guest satisfaction.

Duties include

  • Responsible for short andlong term planning and the management of the Hotel's Front Officeoperations

  • Develop and recommend thebudget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approvedplans

  • Maintain guest roominventory

  • Coach and counselemployees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures

  • Ensure all operations andcash handling are handled per Hotel policy and procedure

  • Maintain excellentcommunication with all Hotel departments

  • Maintain information onrates, specials, packages, programs, etc, while ensuring all staff aretrained in all areas

  • Analyze, investigate, andresolve guest complaints

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications

  • 3 years or more ofprogressive hotel Rooms Management experience (typically with Hyatt)

  • Fluency inspoken and written English and Japanese is essential

  • Service oriented style withprofessional presentations skills

  • Hotel/Hospitality degree anasset

  • High energy, entrepreneurialspirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective inproviding exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottomline

  • Clear concise written andverbal communication skills in English

  • Must be proficient inMicrosoft Word and Excel

  • Must have excellentorganizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
