Hyatt Lead Housekeeper at Sunriver Resort (Homes) in LA PINE, Oregon

Description:

The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for providing direct leadership to housekeepers to ensure the standards of cleanliness of the resort are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service. The Housekeeping Lead must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards. S/he will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

  • Inspects resort units for quality

  • Performs unit cleaning services as needed

  • Assists housekeeping managers in the proper training and orientationof new housekeepers

  • Gives effective feedback to housekeepers to aid in theirdevelopment

  • Transports housekeepers to and from units

  • Maintains a safe andpleasant work environment

  • Ensures service standardsare being applied by all team members

  • Assists housekeepingmanager with daily reports and MOD logs

  • Ensures supplies are properlystocked, assists with ordering supplies as necessary

  • Recommends disciplineand/or termination when appropriate of team members

  • Promotes high associatemorale

  • Recommends disciplineand/or termination when appropriate of team members

  • Receives and dispatchesservice calls as necessary

  • Assists with the administrative responsibilities within thehousekeeping department

  • Assists with the proper scheduling and work loaddisbursement of housekeepers

  • Provides guidance and motivation to housekeepers

  • Acts as a leader and positive example throughout thehousekeeping department

  • Cleans and sanitizes all designated areas to Sunriver Resortstandards

  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. brokenglass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons).

  • Acts with responsibility towards all company property,supplies and equipment

  • Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articlesshall be removed from occupied spaces. Absolute respect for guest propertyshould always be exercised.

  • Operates various mechanized cleaningequipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc. as needed

  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, and commodesshowers as needed

  • Report any needed repairs immediatelyto supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken windowpanes, missing nuts or screws, etc.)

  • Maintains consistent and fair attitudein all associate interactions

  • Offers warm and sincerewelcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name& good eye contact with each guest

  • Maintains an up to dateworking knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events

  • Interacts with resort staffin a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessaryinformation

  • Up sells other resortservices and amenities to guests

  • Always maintains aprofessional demeanor and attitude

  • Communicates all pertinentinformation to the housekeeping team

  • Reports to work on time andaccording to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records and followsproper standards for issuance of rooms

  • Maintains a professionalappearance. Follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standards.

  • Remains alert, courteousand helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.

  • Performs other duties asassigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • At least six months housekeeping experience required

  • At least six months supervisory experience preferred

  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
