Hyatt Sunriver Resort Seasonal Marina Manager in LA PINE, Oregon

Description:

The Marina Manager is responsible for the overall successful operation of the Marina from late spring through the summer season. S/he is responsible for the proper development, planning and implementation of marina programs. The Marina Manager provides leadership, guidance and supervisor to the marina staff. S/he will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

The Marina Manager shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

_ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:_ * Develops and executes successful marina programs * Provides overall direction and coordination of guest marina tours * Informs guests of safe handling of boats * Supervises the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance and conduct of marina team * Works with HR to recruit and hire staff * Responsible for the timely completion of performance appraisals * Completes all new hire and termination paperwork * Develops and implements controls for expense management * Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs * Responsible for monthly inventory * Ensures retail shop is continually monitored and upgraded for neatness, security and maximum profitability * With the assistance of Director of Recreation, designs and implements marina training programs * Ensures facilities are operated safely, efficiently and professionally at all times * Monitors fleet and equipment on a regular basis to ensure that rental equipment, vehicles, facility and grounds are in the best condition possible, and safe for use by guests and staff * Prepares, monitors, and controls budget of expenditures and projected revenues * Responsible for development, implementation and coordination of water-based activities to maximize guest service and profitability * Follows all regulations and criteria established by the U.S.F.S., Fish and Wildlife, Waterways Act, etc. * Maintains accurate records of the volume of business, including breakdown by type; lodge guests, homeowners, rental agencies, general public, and associates * Orders water craft fleet, trailers, and retail products and creates record keeping system to assure quantity and quality needs * Responsible for negotiating contracts and receiving competitive bids for parts, merchandise, and equipment in order to obtain the lowest possible costs which meet our quality standards * Prepares and conducts staff meetings as necessary * Assures guest service standards are being applied by all marina team members * Responsible for the coaching and counseling of marina team * Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor. * Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required * At least two years supervisory experience required * At least one year watercraft experience required * At least one year marina experience preferred * Prior hospitality experience preferred
