Hyatt Reservation Sales Agent (Full-Time) - Lipoa Parkway, Kihei in MAUI, Hawaii

The Reservation Sales Agent serves as a representative of Destination Residences Hawaii, displaying courtesy and Aloha to all owners and guests through positive action and attitude. Essential job functions and Responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Must be willing to work varied shifts with alternating days and times (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays)

  • Must be physically capable of performing all aspects of the position as outlined

  • Answer all incoming reservation calls

  • Process credit card payments

  • Answer incoming fax and email inquiries

  • Update Reservations Manager of any overbookings or guest situations

  • Assist with monitoring overbookings

  • Input appropriate bookings

  • Produce necessary reports in a timely manner

  • Input WTO (Tour Operators) bookings, focusing on special requests, categories, dates and specials (CAR PKG)


The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate

  • Ability to interact with owners, guests, travel agents, and wholesalers on a daily basis with courtesy and ability to perform tasks to the best of your ability

  • Must be capable of sitting for seven hours and standing for one hour

  • Must be capable of lifting 10 pounds frequently, 20 pounds infrequently

  • Must be able to operate the following equipment:

  1. Telephone and features, ie transfer, hold, park, etc.

  2. Credit card and swipe

  3. Office equipment, including but not limited to: telephone, adding machine, computer (PC), fax, copier, printers

  4. Systems – Springer Miller Software, Navis Narrowcast, SiteMinder, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Internet Explorer, Google Chrome

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Interpersonal skills required

  • Excellent listening skills required

  • Personality characteristics must include being personable, respectful, ethical, trustworthy, self-motivated, diplomatic and confident.

Note: First consideration will be given to qualified candidates who currently reside in the Island of Maui and or the neighboring island.
