Hyatt Digital Marketing Manager in NEW YORK CITY, New York
This position is responsible for driving and executing an effective digital marketing and media strategy for The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel. The Digital Marketing Manager develops, implements and organizes online marketing campaigns to acquire new customers, increase hotel revenue, market share, and brand awareness. This position will also work closely with the Thompson Branding team, measuring and reporting on brand and property performance, managing digital agencies and media partnerships, and overseeing the development and execution of communication across all social media platforms. The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for organic and paid search, display/banner ads, mobile, paid social media, website and email marketing.
Essential Duties * Manage digital marketing programs for The Beekman * Plan and execute web, SEO/SEM and digital media strategies * Assist DOSM and DORM with annual marketing plans and budgets to provide strategy and recommendations for spend based on market analysis, current performance metrics and best practices * Provide ongoing support to optimize online hotel presence, with a particular focus on growing book direct revenue and channel mix * Support CRM and email marketing activities for the hotel, assisting in copywriting, image selection and template design to increase open, click and conversion rates * Liaise with operation and sales teams to capture more email addresses and grow our internal CRM database * Understand business needs and competition for the property, developing local marketing objectives, strategies and tactics to meet owner objectives * Determine areas of opportunity, making recommendations and implementing efforts to increase website traffic, maximize content consumption and increase vanity site bookings * Work with the digital media agency partner to develop and execute digital marketing strategies to drive direct bookings, and improve optimal channel mix. * Daily management of the hotel vanity and brand.com website, landing pages and mobile presence as well as third-party business and paid media listings (transient and group) * Quality assurance testing of landing pages and other website development projects * Create, promote and organize web events * Support and engage an agile team culture with the reservations, revenue, and operations teams. * Aid in creation of sales and marketing collateral, and digital marketing content. * Manage daily communication of all social media platforms (Instagram, and Facebook). * Oversee content creation and updates to digital library. * Manage social media calendar based on the needs of the hotel, with DOSM insight. * Respond to positive negative feedback across all channels. * Boosting specific posts to drive exposure and revenue on Instagram and Facebook. * Facilitate interest of all social media influencer and media stay requests. * Liaise with Thompson Brand team to align initiatives and overall social media strategies. * Oversee online customer acquisition, retention and conversion marketing programs through our enterprise level brand partnerships with preferred vendors, and third-party e-commerce platforms including TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google, Wyng, Hootsuite, and Cybba. * Oversee hotel business listings, marketing and shopping cart abandonment programs for new properties in our portfolio. * Ensure the hotel benefits from corporate marketing services and brand-wide media and advertising campaigns. * Aid in vetting and execution of all on property productions (Film/TV/Photoshoot). * Monitor and review website traffic and user behavior with Google Analytics, making timely recommendations as needed on website content, external referrals and paid acquisition efforts to drive conversions. * Independently analyze hotel performance, website usage and campaign effectiveness. * Deliver reporting to key stakeholders, including KPIs, comparative scorecards, summarization of performance and future recommendations and action items. * Benchmark digital activities against comp sets and peers in the industry; improving digital marketing strategy and tactics to be ahead of the curve. * Provide month-end reporting of social media highlights, engagement, website traffic, and booking conversion rates. * Provide insight on annual Sales & Marketing plan.
Essential Qualifications * BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in communications, advertising, marketing, journalism or related field * 1-2 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Media or E-Commerce * Prior hotel digital marketing or revenue management experience preferred * Highly motivated, goal-oriented, creative, self-starter with exceptional prioritization, time management and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively and competently handle multiple projects simultaneously and the flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to changes and new technologies * Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills * A passion for technology and digital media, including knowledge of evolving best practices, web trends, and SEO/PPC * Demonstrated knowledge of integrated marketing strategies, audience segmentation and data management skills including list building * Must be able to function at a fast pace in a service-oriented environment * Proven ability to impact and work with all levels of the organization * Build relationships and work effectively with numerous departments * Ability to work autonomously in a decision-making capacity on behalf of the hotel executive team * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Web Analytics platform and Content Management Systems
