Hyatt Front Office Agent in NEW YORK CITY, New York

TheFront Office Agent will be responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. The priority at all times is to engage with guests in a caring and positive manner, using active listening skills to understand the needs and wants of guests – wherever possible, getting to know them and their preferences on a personal level. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Associate and play the important role of ensuring that departure motivates guests to come back to the hotel at the earliest opportunity.   • Have an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency

  • A “people person” who is flexible with their schedule, loves to serve others, and knows how to multi-task while ensuring accuracy.

  • Flexibility with work days and hours

  • The ability to communicate both verbally and through legible and grammatically correct writing

  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English, bilingualism an asset

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Experience and a thorough understanding of Front Office operations

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds

  • At least 1 year progressive experience in Front Office working with Opera PMS

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
