Hyatt Housekeeping Coordinator - Temporary (6 months) in NEW YORK CITY, New York

Description:
The Housekeeping Coordinator is a temporary position that will assist with various tasks such as run rooms’ reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.

The ideal candidate will support the Housekeeping managers with daily activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry -Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk -Prepare and distribute assignment sheets/work boards to Housekeeping staff -Record, monitor, and update rooms list -Ensure that vacant dirty rooms are clean in a timely manner -Assign rush rooms and rooms previously on the 'Do Not Disturb' list -Complete necessary Housekeeping paperwork -Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Supervisors

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of Housekeeping experience in luxury hotels
  • Continuous work authorization in the U.S.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (PM shits 90% of the time)
  • Knowledge of systems such as Opera, HotSOS and Outlook is highly preferred
  • Capable of making a 6-month commitment
  • Ability to lift, push and pull moderate amount of weight (up to approx. 50 lbs)
