Hyatt Sales & Executive Administrative Assistant in NEW YORK CITY, New York

The Administrative Assistant must be a highly motivated individual who is eager and ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed. This position has dual responsibilities for providing administrative support to a team of Sales & Events Managers as well as the Executive Office. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, the ability to learn new computer programs, can multitask and complete projects in a timely manner. This person should demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining the sales systems, preparing reports and analysis, and assisting with/facilitating hotel site visits. In conjunction with supporting the executive office, this role will be responsible for handling customer satisfaction inquiries, related correspondence and communication. Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytically minded, good oral and written communication skills are of utmost importance. This role will also manage confidential, hotel and associate information, so knowledge of SOX compliance and the ability to monitor private information is a must.

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have basic hospitality industry knowledge.

  • Must be able to work independently and confidently.

  • At least one year of sales/catering experience is a plus.

  • Must be able to establish professional relationships within the hotel and manage confidential information.

  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications

  • Strengths must include knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word programs.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills,

  • Ability to interpret statistical reports (profit and loss, income statements, customer satisfaction data and other hotel-related reports)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to write complex documents
