Hyatt J1 Visa Internship-Rooms in OAK BROOK, Illinois

This one-year J1 Visa internship includes a rotation in the following areas in the Rooms Division:

Front Desk Guest Services Housekeeping Laundry

Along with be introduced to various positions in the rooms division this individual will begin to learn tasks and responsibilities of a supervisor and/or manager. Before you can lead a group of individuals you must learn each position and understand the skills, systems, policies and procedures to successfully fill each role. This is individual will learn how to expect guest rooms, open/close housekeeping for the day, lead a shift at the front desk and other responsibilities in the Rooms Division. The goal of this internship is to allow the intern the opportunity to learn and grow so that they may use their knowledge and skills in their next hospitality experience. The internship will also expose them to American culture, given them the opportunity to engage in employee relation events, attend meetings and be a part of a task force or committee.

Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a J1 Visa and begin employment with the Lodge by February 1, 2019.

Must be a hospitality student or have hospitality experience in hotels

Must be able to work for one year in the US at our hotel

Must be available to work AM, PM shifts including holidays and weekends.

Must have the ability to multi-task

Must be able to provide exceptional customer service.

Must be fluent in written and spoken English

Responsible for finding housing and transportation to and from work
