Hyatt IT Technician I in OLYMPIC VALLEY, California

Summary of Responsibilities: * * The IT Technician I is responsible for overseeing all computing technology associated with property applications, desktop hardware, networking and computing services at the resort. They will provide maintenance and support for desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, provide end-user support for hardware and software problems, and occasional guest support on IT related issues. Installs, maintains, repairs, administers and troubleshoots equipment and software necessary for smooth operations.

Essential Functions: * Identifies, diagnoses and resolves problems with desktop hardware, applications and networking * Configures and deploys end-user desktop hardware, software and peripherals * Setup computer software and hardware for new/existing staff, including new user accounts * Coordinates the timely repair of equipment covered by third-party support vendors * Manage telecom system and coordinate repairs and moves/adds/changes with telecom vendors * Produce well written plans, procedures, and documentation * Ensure acceptable performance in computing and network systems * Maintain complete and accurate software/hardware inventory with the use of automated tools * Manage daily PCI-DSS compliance focused tasks such as account terminations and log analysis * Monitor server performance, disk space, error logs, and backups of critical systems * Additional tasks and projects as assigned by IT Manager

Required Qualifications, Education and Experience: * High school graduate or equivalent * 6 months work experience in technical capacity providing end user support and/or supporting & managing a networked computing environment. * Good analytical and problem solving skills, effective strategic planning and organization, ability to multi-task and prioritize * Self-motivated and capable of working unsupervised * Willing to have a flexible schedule – this job will require regular hours on the weekends * Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to interact with other colleagues in a professional and friendly manner.

Additional Desired Qualifications, Education and Experience: * Hospitality/resort experience * Working knowledge of Windows Servers/Clients, Active Directory, Group Policy * Experience in networking design and implementation * Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Information Systems or related field * Technical certifications a plus: MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA, A , etc.
