Hyatt Event Sales Coordinator in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

  • Plan, detail and service local catering events

  • Interact with all departments of the hotel whileworking in a fast paced, active sales office

  • Stay abreastof industry trends and make recommendations of changes which would affectoperations

  • Maintainaccurate sales productivity forecast, manage budgeted expenses and recapinformation

  • Professionalto coordinate and conduct customer site inspections

  • Maintainconstant contact and excellent relationships with clients and vendors

  • Familiarwith legality of contractual agreements and actively participation inongoing training opportunities

  • Workcohesively with co-workers as part of a team

  • Maintain aprofessional demeanor at all times and maintain work area in aprofessional, orderly manner

  • Present apositive company image through all phases of public and/or customerinteraction.

  • Proficiencyin executing a sales plan to meet or exceed revenue goals

  • Knowledge inlocal social catering and wedding markets, with the ability to sell andservice elegant and prestigious events

  • Service-oriented, approaching allencounters with guests and colleagues in an attentive and courteous manner

  • Ideal candidate wouldhave rudimentary experience in Event Planning with aspirations of futurecareer advancement into a sales manager role

  • Candidatewill have basic understanding of Envision Sales and EMS

Responsibilites andExpectations FOR EVENT SALES PLANNING COORDINATOR

  • All GDR as contractswill be handled by the EventSales Mangers

  • Event Sales Coordinatorwill be responsible for all details, responsibility of groups that moveforward with a catering contract

  • ESC will beresponsible for the following but not limited to the followingresponsibilities:

  • Checking to make sure the contracted minimum is achieved

  • All attachments are loaded into EAS – PSAV, FedEx invoicesand MISC charges

  • Rooming lists, reservation and sending confirmation numbersto the client

  • Sites and tastings for groups where this is contracted

  • Final Bill review

  • Creating PQ’s

  • Pick up meeting, Ops meeting, Menu Meeting

  • ESC will have theability to create their own work schedule based on meetings and events in-house

  • Flexiblehours will be required. The position will most often beMonday-Friday but the candidate must have the flexibility to work weekendsthroughout the year. Based on a 45-hour work week.

  • ESC will beresponsible for covering for their managers when they are out of theoffice

  • Once files are turned over, an email welcome/introductionmust be sent to client within 48 hours

  • Ensure allcontractual concessions are adhered too

  • Responsible frominitial turnover phase, planning process, coordinating onsite, and final billreview

  • Servicing EventSales bookings from small meetings associated with large conferences to localsocial events

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge

  • Prefer a four year hospitality degree or equivalent experience

  • Prefer 18 months hotel experience
