Hyatt Area Wellness Manager (Remote Human Resources Manager) in SAN FRANCISCO, California

  • Reports to an Occupational Health Manager (OHM) or the Director Risk Management and supports assigned hotels with health and safety and is a liaison between hotel Human Resources, Leadership Committees and Managers and Corporate Risk Management.

  • Ensures reporting andprocessing of all claims related to workplace injuries for hotels via PC365 andelectronic reporting to Gallagher Bassett, the Third Party Administrator (TPA),via Risk Console or other designated reporting processes for hotels with ownerprovided insurance.

  • Ensures theinvestigation of all workplace injuries by the hotel Manager at hotels withappropriate post-accident response including training, documentation andcorrective action.

  • Partners with hotel, TPAResolution Manager (TPA), Counsel, and OHM to review and resolve WorkersCompensation Insurance (Work Comp) claims arising from workplace injuries.

  • Ensures completion ofOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordkeeping andreporting at hotels and assists with OSHA complaints, investigations andresponses.

  • Ensures properlyfunctioning Return to Work Program (RTW) at hotels and participates in TotalTemporary Disability (TTD) calls and meetings. RTW and TTD along with frequencyand severity of workplace injuries are the key metrics being measured todetermine success.

  • Will be a resource andas necessary ensure the proper functioning of the hotel Leave of Absence (LOA)and the hotel Interactive Process (IAP) in coordination with the OHM, TPA,Counsel, hotel Human Resources and hotel Manager.

  • Ensures hotelcommunication with employees regarding RTW, TTD, LOA, IAP and training andcorrective action documentation.

  • Ensures proper andeffective communication between hotel Management, TPA, Counsel and OHM relatedto Work Comp, RTW, TTD, LOA and IAP.

  • Assist hotel Managementwith completion and the final paperwork associated with resolution of WorkComp, LOA and IAP.

  • Ensures hotel access,utilization and review of Risk Console Dashboards to measure frequency andseverity of workplace injuries, use of PC365 and electronic reporting ofworkplace injuries and use of electronic reporting for all risk and insuranceincidents via Risk Console and risk and insurance information available onHyattconnect.

  • As necessary providefurther analysis and collaborate with hotels to reduce the frequency andseverity of workplace injuries.

  • Prepare communicationsand attend meetings on a regular basis with hotel Management reviewing thefrequency and severity of workplace injuries including as necessary or requiredcommunications to Area and Regional hotel Management.

  • Partner with hotel, OHMand TPA to develop intervention, training or other tools for specific issuesrelated to health and safety and the frequency and severity of workplaceinjuries including as necessary interaction and partnering with clinics,offices, medical providers and other experts, professionals or providers ofservices associated with health and safety and workplace injuries.

  • Mentor Safety Committeeand partner with assigned hotel Departments on Safety Programs and championwellness initiatives and safety awards.

  • Support, prepare andcomplete any other task as assigned by Corporate Risk Management.
