Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of the opening team for the largest hotel in the Pacific Northwest! The Hyatt Regency Seattle is recruiting for a HVAC Shift Engineer (Engineer 1) to join our growing Maintenance team!

The HVAC Shift Engineer will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning and other mechanical equipment. Candidates should have significant HVAC maintenance experience and equivalent trade school training with appropriate certifications/licensing. The Shift Engineer may also be assigned maintenance duties in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of the house areas. The engineer will be responsible for the maintenance on equipment such as (but not limited to) fan coil units, makeup air units, ice machines, exhaust fans, and etc.
The HVAC Shift Engineer should have the ability to read blue prints and schematics, along with good mechanical troubleshooting skills. Good communication skills are necessary. The HVAC Shift Engineer must be comfortable responding to all emergency calls including but not limited to fire, medical, and engineering / building emergencies. The HVAC Shift Engineer must be self-motivated with the ability to work with or without constant supervision.

Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred
Experience in HVAC maintenance required
HVAC EPA Certifications highly desired
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)
Must be a team player but able to work independently as well
- Is able to multitask and prioritize assignments.
