Hyatt Rooms Operation Supervisor in SEATTLE, Washington

The Rooms Operation Supervisor possess strong leadership, communication, and relationship skills. They are expected to work in many operational areas within the hotel; with a primary focus on the rooms division (front office and housekeeping). The Rooms Operation Supervisor responsibilities include assisting senior management in day-to-day tasks, overseeing staff, assigning job duties, managing guest relations, and stepping into multiple different roles within the rooms division to ensure the continued success of the hotel. At times, this role may be required to support our restaurant, Frolik Kitchen Cocktails, in a similar capacity. The ideal candidate for this position will thrive in fast paced settings, be eager to learn, and be able to adapt to changing environments and job duties quickly.

Job Requirements:

  • Schedule flexibility required. Ability to work weekends and holidays, a varied mix of day and evening shifts, and the possibility of some overnight shifts.

  • Step in as a Guest Service Agent; including checking guests in/out, ensuring proper billing, and acting with exceptional customer service.

  • Responsible for inventories, supply orders, and knowledge of equipment necessary for the day-to-day operation.

  • Resolve or refers to senior management all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service.

  • Assist and make recommendation in the training, development, and direction of the Rooms Division.

  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure any issues are resolved efficiently.


  • One year front office supervisor or manager experience required.

  • Prior housekeeping or restaurant supervisor experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of front office policies and procedures, bell desk, concierge desk, telephone, reservations and required accounting procedures.

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively read, write and speak English.

  • Proficient in general computer knowledge.

  • Extremely detail oriented and organized.

  • Ability to effectively train, direct, and coach staff.

  • Eager attitude towards learning and career development.

  • Ability to work without consistent supervision.
