Hyatt Stewarding Assistant Manager - Andaz Shenzhen Bay in SHENZHEN, China


*Ensures that breakages are administered so as to provide constant feedback to the operation as a tool to reduce breakages and losses.

Strictly adheres to the established operating expenses and ensures that all costs are controlled.

Participates in the formulation of Annual Operating Budget in determining projected operating expenses, operating equipment and FF&E requirements in line with the compilation of the Annual Business Plan.

Ensures new technology and equipment are embraced, improving productivity whilst taking work out of the system.

Ensures that minimum brand standards have been implemented.

Strictly controls inventories and par stocks in the operation for all operating equipment, Food and Beverage, FF&E items and to ensure that the outlet is adequately equipped.

Liaises with the Food and Beverage Department and Culinary Department on daily operations and quality control.

Ensures that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to employee rules and regulations.

Is knowledgeable in statutory legislation in employee and industrial relations.

Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Holds a qualification in Hospitality Management specialising in Food and Beverage Management or Kitchen Management.

Knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies, cleaning agents and chemicals.

Well-developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, email and SCALA.

Good trainer, able to facilitate at all levels.

Comprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting and productivity requirements.

Minimum two to four years work experience as Stewarding Manager in a hotel or similar large restaurant with good standards.

Preferable prerequisite is experience in the Hotel, Restaurant or Travel industry.
