Hyatt Guest Services Officer - Front Office in SOFIA, Bulgaria


We have an exciting opportunity for a GuestServices Officer - Front Office to join our new property in Sofia.

Hyatt Regency Sofia will mark the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Bulgaria and will add to the Hyatt group’s growing footprint in Europe.

The hotel will be ideally located in the heart of the Bulgarian capital on Vasil Levski Square. Guests will be within walking distance of the National Assembly, which houses the country’s parliament, as well as many of Bulgaria’s cultural institutions and tourist attractions, including Vasil Levski Monument, Saint Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, National Academy of Arts, SS. Cyril and Methodius National Library, and Sofia University.

Expected to open in Q1 2020, Hyatt Regency Sofia will cater to the contemporary expectations of guests and meeting planners. The 183-rooms hotel will feature an Italian restaurant, lobby lounge and market as well as a penthouse event space with unrivalled city views. The hotel will serve as the perfect venue offering 1,200 square meters of flexible meeting and event facilities. A fitness center and spa will support the well-being of guests. About therole:

Reporting directly to the Assistant Manager – Front Office, the Guest Services Officer – Front Office will work on a rotation basis within Front Office Team to provide courteous, efficient service and maximum guest satisfaction as per the standards required by the hotel and in consistent with Global Hyatt Standards. He / she will be responsible to perform all front office services with utmost attention and efficiency.


  • Provide excellent service and continually strives to exceed expectations

  • Perform all front office services by making sure that these services are available and carried out with utmost efficiency

  • Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationship

  • Ensure that service and other standards are adhered to

  • Ensure all relevant hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations are adhered to

  • To be up to date with information on all hotel facilities and in-house activitiesWork in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments

  • Maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress and appearance

  • Respondto changes in the front office functions as dictated by the industry, company and hotel


  • Successfultrack record of experience in front office operations position

  • Serviceand guest satisfaction-oriented personality

  • Knowledgeof all front office services and accounting procedures related with thedepartment

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurialspirit, effective communication, and effectiveness in providingexceptional customer service

  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal andadministrative skills

  • Must bean advanced user of MS Office programs and knowledge of other hospitalitysystems will be an advantage

  • Hospitalitydegree and/or other relevant certificate or degree will be an advantage

  • Fluent Bulgarianlanguage

  • Excellentspoken and written English is essential for this role
