Hyatt Front Desk Manager in STOWE, Vermont
Job Overview The Front Desk Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and supervision of the front desk team for Spruce Peak. The Front Desk Manager ensures the highest levels of guest service and that standards are in place. The Front Desk Manager must have a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays especially during peak guest occupancy.
Essential Functions * Will oversee scheduling for employees in front desk * Assist in recruitment efforts and communicate with Director of Rooms and Human Resources about status of all open positions as well as the status for all applicants * Will monitor and control staff performance by administering annual performance reviews for the team * Will monitor payroll on a daily basis, submitting accurate payroll reports to accounting on a bi-weekly basis * Oversee the training and development of staff in such a manner as to ensure the highest level of guest service and satisfaction * In the course ofnormal duties, to observe, report, or take immediate corrective action on deficiencies, malfunctions, or untidiness * Ensures proper procedures are followed during guest check in and out * Solicits guest feedback via guest commentcards and acknowledges guest preferences for future visits * Other duties as requested or required by manager
* Prior hotel supervisory or management background required * Hospitality or guest service background is required * Hospitality Management Degree or Diploma is an asset * Results oriented with ability to be flexible and work under pressure * Good command of the English language, multi lingual is an asset * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to meet company standards * Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Property Manager * Flexible schedule to include all shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays * Knowledge of SMS, Time Saver, and GoConcierge a plus
