Hyatt Nail Technician in STOWE, Vermont


Job Overview:

The Nail Technician performs professional nail, hand and foot treatment. They must possess a thorough knowledge of the nails, including a basic knowledge of hand and foot massage techniques and a neat applications of polish. They must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa’s specific nail service offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests. The must hold and maintain a current state license. In addition, provides sincere service through actions that display self-confidence, grace and courtesy to guests and colleagues.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides consistent professional nail care treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices

  • Continually seeks ways to improve the spa facility and the spa experience

  • Maintains a good sense of humor and a co-operative attitude in dealing with customers, co-workers and supervisors

  • Is responsible for all items in the individual work station and ensure his/her work station is always clean and organized

  • Maintains Health code and OSHA standards

  • Provides courteous, efficient service to all guests and spa visitors

  • Greets guests at the Spa upon arrival

  • Effectively informs and educates our guests about specific wellness concerns

  • Answers guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously

  • Prepares and maintains treatment area supplies daily

  • Ensure the privacy of each guest

  • Maintains consistent spa inventory and orders supplies as needed

  • Assists in all areas of spa operation as requested by management

  • Ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean and safe facility

  • Properly cares for equipment and uses proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls

  • Maintains a clean and organized spa by monitoring the facilities regularly, upholding the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law

  • Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events

  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

  • Is knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Resort policies

  • Communicates all pertinent information to the Spa Manager and Supervisors

  • Is able to communicate verbally and in writing in English

  • Is a team player and interacts with all guests and fellow Associates in a positive and friendly manner


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Prior experience in a luxury spa or high-end salon

  • Must hold and maintain a current Vermont Cosmetology license

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Customer service experience

  • Strong organizational and time management discipline

  • Understanding of Spa and Salons

  • Solid judgment and ability to resolve conflicts effectively

  • Operate effectively in stressful situations

  • Ability to adapt to changing guest needs

  • Must be able to work nights, both weekend days and holidays

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
