Hyatt Catering Sales Manager in TEMPE, Arizona

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing events. Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food and Beverage and includes menu planning, agenda setting and hotel meeting services. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.

The Event Sales Manager also host hotel tours, maintain strong customer relationships, participate and may lead event meetings and other staff meetings, and work as a team member with the sales and events staff. The manager also works closely with an assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

Qualifications:
Solicit, book and coordinate local private food and beverage business in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Company. Serve as a consultant between the client and the Hotel. Generate departmental reports and other data as assigned. Be totally knowledgeable of all available facilities, products and capabilities of the Hotel and be able to sell the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel & Conference Center, primarily as it relates to Catering business and social events. * Refined verbal and written communication skills * Must be proficient in general computer knowledge * Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized * Four years Catering/Banquet Sales in Hotel environment or comparable venue. * Sell catering services, including weddings, to local clients, promote all hotel services * Create proposals, review contracts and facilitate ongoing communication with clients * Refined verbal and written communication skills * Must be proficient in general computer knowledge including Hyatt Envision Event Management * Menu planning, event detailing, agenda setting * Coordinate all event details to event services efficiently and without error * Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized
