Hyatt Reservations Manager in TEMPE, Arizona

The Reservations Manager will managethe daily operations of group reservations, group room inventoryas part of the convention services process. Works with the Director of Revenue Management to accurately forecast future business. Communicates with the front desk staff and sales department concerning sales strategy and house status on a daily basis.

The Reservations Manager is responsible for implementing revenue management system and standards and practices to control rooms inventories and rates. This person participates in strategic hotel marketing plans by monitoring future rooms occupancy and revenues. The Reservations Manager will maintain optimum levels of production resulting in optimum occupancy. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, overseeing the group sales and reservations process, monitoring and assessing all lost business reports, monitor and implement strategies for Internet distribution channels. Establish initial contact with customer at file turnover

  • Maintain relationship with customer, up to arrival, for all matters pertaining to guest room usage, including obtaining no-show and wash history, obtaining and managing changes to rooming lists, and tracking and managing the inventory for individual call-in groups.

  • Prepare and submit group rooms recap reports, including the tracking/posting of group comps, and rebate/commission calculations.

  • Refined verbal andwritten communication skills

  • Must be proficient inWord, Excel and Encore/Spirit

  • Excellenttime-management skills

  • Excellent multi-taskingand organizational skills

  • Must have previousexperience with forecasting and revenue management

  • Must have extensiveexperience with customer service

  • 2 years HotelReservations experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Hyatt'sreservation systems and procedures preferred

  • Understanding of roomsmerchandising and yield management processes
