Hyatt Hotel Manager in TORONTO, Canada

As a member of the properties Leadership Committee, the Hotel Manager is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reports to the hotel General Manager and is responsible to lead all hotel divisions in the absence of the General Manager.

The Hotel Manager directly oversees hotel services including Front Office operations, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Security, Banquets, Restaurants, In-Room Dining, Lounges and spa with direct reports leading each service.

Duties include:

  • Responsible for short and long term planning and the leadershipof all operations in the front and back of the house

  • Develop and recommend the budget, marketingplans/objectives and manage within those approved plans.This will include two new F&B outletsand a luxury spa in the upscale Yorkville neighborhood.

  • Participate in total hotel leadership as a member ofthe Hotel Leadership Committee

  • Direct and oversee development of leaders andcolleagues

  • Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts,inventory and budget for all operational areas

  • Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintaina high level of customer satisfaction and quality

  • Implement procedures to increase guest and colleaguesatisfaction

  • 10 years or more of progressive hotel operationsexperience with strong Food & Beverage experience and focusedrestaurant or lounge experience preferred at the Director level or above

  • Previous rooms and/or spa experience is an asset

  • Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred

  • Strong analytical skills in financial and customer servicemetrics needed

  • Service focused style with professional presentationsskills

  • Proven leadership skills

  • Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy,entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator,effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improvethe bottom line

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact withpeople of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnicbackgrounds

  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skillsin English

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal andadministrative skills

  • Ability to maintain communications with Corporate Staffand Hotels owners
