The Business & Transient Sales Manager, will maximize total room nights and revenue potential for Park Hyatt Toronto across the Corporate- Consortia and transient leisure market segments with a focus on both retention and acquisition. Sales goals will be determined quarterly with the DOSM and Hyatt RVP based on the hotels budget and forecasted projections. Hyatt PRIDE is the company’s compensation and incentive program that is paid out quarterly with a year-end achievement status based on actualized revenues to goal achievement. The position will require a proactive approach to sales, with a need to be a dynamic sales leader someone who will positively impact the hotel’s business and clearly define our Park Hyatt brand in Toronto. Working in a team, the position will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing who will be supervising and managing your role day to day operations as well as supporting you to achieve our purpose.
Responsibilities include selling guest rooms & suites, meeting space and other Park Hyatt services, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, travel for the position, strong ethic for setting business strategies and forward thinking tactics. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals. Maintaining well organized documentation and reports. Utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. The Sales Manager will participate in sales meetings, events and other staff meetings. The Sales Manager also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff to in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

University qualifications in Business, Hospitalityor Sales and Marketing
Minimum 2 years’ sales experience in a five-starhotel or, similar fast-paced environment
An engaged and results driven achiever with stronginfluencing skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication and timemanagement skills
Proven sales experience with the ability to lead,guide and achieve personal rev goals
Highly motivated, solutions-orientated self-starterwith adaptable teamwork styles
Strong analytical skills with the ability totranslate data into profitable action
Strategic orientation with the know how to problemsolve under pressure
Ability to create a positive first impression withan understanding of the importance of five-star grooming standards
Refined verbal and written communication skills
A minimum of 2 years of hotel sales orcomparable experience preferred, with strong SMERF market segment exposure
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
