Hyatt Intermediate Pastry Cook in WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia
Blue Duck Tavern is seeking an enthusiastic, detailed oriented, passionate and service-minded pastry professional. Ideal candidate should have 2-3 years pastry experience. Intermediate pastry cook will be responsible for preparation of pastry items for the restaurant, organization and inventory of pastry items for nightly service, execution of plated desserts according to Blue Duck Tavern's standards, clear and effective communication between Blue Duck Tavern's departments and the Pastry department, works well under pressure according to timely pastry needs , break down and cleanliness of station at the end of shift.
Qualifications: * Ideal candidate to have 2-3 years previous pastry experience, line experience a plus
* Understands and maintains pastry recipe standards * Ability to work and multitask in fast paced, high volume restaurant/environment * Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours * Is able to lift up to 50 pounds * Strong communication and organizational skills * Flexibility with schedule including nights, weekends and holidays * Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision * Detail oriented, consistency driven * Has a passion for service * Maintains positive attitude and demonstrates teamwork
