Hyatt Director of Brand and Field Marketing in ZURICH, Switzerland

The Director of Brand and Field Marketing, EAME/SWA will be developing and executing the brand marketing strategy for the Region in alignment with the Corporate Brand strategy. The main responsibilities will be:

  • Create infrastructure and culture to support hotels in the Region with Marketing related initiatives
  • Support hotel alignment with Corporate Brand strategy to create brand value, loyalty and preference.
  • Develop and execute brand marketing strategy for the Region in alignment with the Corporate Brand strategy
  • Oversee brand communication programs in the Region
  • Partner with other Regional resources such as Development, Operations, Human Resources and Legal to develop marketing programs and processes which drive revenue, awareness, loyalty and preference to Hyatt
  • Partner with Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing, Loyalty Marketing and other Hyatt stakeholders to ensure the external and internal communications align
  • Oversee global campaign adaptation and deployment in the Region
  • Be the local voices for the hotels in the Region to Corporate Brand team
  • Collaborate with other disciplines in commercial by adding marketing expertise
  • Understand business needs and competition for hotels in the Region
  • Guide hotel marketing strategies and objectives to align with the brand direction
  • Assist hotels with their local marketing plan and budget when requested, or where there are significant performance issues or renovations
  • Develop preliminary marketing plan and budget for new openings, re-flags, and coordinate hotel de-flags with regard to marketing requirements
  • Share local marketing and brand best practices by providing turnkey solutions
  • Counsel hotels on managing their preferred marketing agencies and suppliers, trouble shoot as needed
  • Communicate and facilitate brand initiatives and direction to the hotels
  • Institutionalize brand standards /experiences in hotels and assess outcomes
  • Provide hotel perspective and field feedback to corporate teams concerning marketing tools, programs, campaigns, brand standards and preferred vendor performance
  • Primary fulfillment for brand and corporate marketing related owner inquiries, issues and presentations
  • Provide insights from marketing reporting and escalate follow up to applicable hotels, departments or agencies

Qualifications:
* Over 15 years of marketing experience * Experience in leading a multi-brand marketing platform within EAME * Strong influencing and diplomacy skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization * Knowledge of working among diverse cultures and business practices in EAME * Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability * University degree or above; MBA preferred * Entrepreneurial as well as financially and commercially astute * Dynamic with high levels of energy and drive * Highly results oriented with a demonstrable track record of success * Self-motivated and highly flexible, with an ability to work in a global environment * Fluent in English. Fluency in an additional European language would be advantageous * Experience working with travel/hotel-related industry/company a plus, and/or strong desire to learn about the industry * Ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas that propels the brand forward * Ability to travel internationally as required and evening conference calls as needed * Familiarity working with a team and/or reporting to a supervisor not in the same location * Location of position: Zurich
