Hyatt Event Sales Manager in ZURICH, Switzerland

*Position Summary*

This position will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency & Hyatt Place Zurich Airport/The Circle & The Circle Convention Center Zurich Airport. General responsibilities and accountability will be to achieve rooms and event sales budget within the geographical scope of his/her responsibility.

The objective is to position The Circle as a new destination in Europe for conventions, congresses and other large events.

This position might require frequent international travel to assigned geographical areas and consists of proactive planning and execution of sales plans and strategies which ultimately stimulate demand for room nights associated with large conventions, product launches and other corporate meetings and related event revenues.

*Position Responsibilities* * * Pre-opening office – Hyatt Regency & Hyatt Place Zurich Airport / The Circle & The Circle Convention Centre Zurich Airport * Works with DOSM to review business projections for the two hotels and the convention centre at Zurich Airport, executes sales plans which support revenue generation. * Accountable for the achievement for rooms and event sales targets within the geographical scope of his/her responsibility. * Targets international “large meeting & congress profiles” from a target sample customer base consisting of general assemblies, associations, projects in cooperation with Zurich & Swiss Convention bureaus, international PCOs and Corporate accounts. * Drives customer centricity through sales activation, sales missions, familiarisation trips and trade show attendance in key feeder markets. * Understands the importance of “story telling” and brand-led experiences. * Cooperates closely with the sales team of Park Hyatt Zurich. * Cooperates closely with Hyatt Sales Force and other hotel sales teams. * Effectively uses Envision to manage group leads and client activities. * Constantly monitors and evaluates local, national and international market trends, and the competitor hotels’ and competitive congress center initiatives.
